This plantar plate tear has been such a humbling experience.

Today begins week 3 of my return to run program. I'm running five sets of three-minute intervals this week. Which is nothing compared to what I'm used to doing.

But also, I spent November and December not being able to walk normally, so three-minute intervals of running is a big deal!

It's kind of ironic because all of last year I kept reminding myself to stay humble and not to take all that success for granted. I've never had a triathlon season that went so smoothly from a health perspective. Outside of getting the flu in February, I was healthy the whole season. Not even a nagging sore muscle or a sniffle! But now I’m here.

Two more runs this week, and if they are pain free, I'll get to increase those intervals just a little bit more.
